Great Music, Greater Good Enjoy today and preserve yesterday at
scenic Evergreen, nestled at the base
of Bull Run Mountain.
Your donation goes directly to
preserving the Evergreen Plantation Manor House.
This once bustling and glorious home
serves as a tangible link to the people
and events that shaped our community—
and its restoration and adaptive
reuse is critical to sustaining what is
best about our area.
The Manor House is now listed on the National Register for Historic Places and the Virginia Register for Historic Places.
It attained this distinction due to the architecture and Civil War significance. On May 12, 2009 the House was acknowleged by the PW County Historical Commission.
Built by Lewis Berkeley in 1827, the Evergreen Manor House is a Designated
Cultural Resource as identified by
Prince William County.
Lewis Berkeley passed the house to his
son Edmund, who, during the Civil War,
organized Company C, "The Evergreen
Guard," and rose to the rank of Colonel.
In 1911, 50 years to the date of the
First Battle of Manassas, he delivered an
opening poem at the Manassas National
Jubilee of Peace. Confederate and Union
veterans came together, shaking hands.
Now, we invite you, your family
and friends to gather at this tribute
to our rich history and
enjoy Live at Evergreen.
